MCSE Readiness review

Hey all,

If any of you have ever used this or intend to use this to study for the either of the following exams 210-215-216-217.

I used them and there was nothing and I mean NOTHING on the exams that pertained to this study guide.

So for future reference this is a waste of time. for study prep. But it gives a basic concept on those 4 subjects. It should be called the MCSE Basic Intro.

I wouldn't suggest studying from here. At least from my experience.
Use the MS Press book and examcram as an additional studyaid to refresh yourself on what you studied

Hey Daren,

You use these Readiness Review Books just like you would the Transcenders or any other testing software to see what your weaknesses are in any given subject area! What I like about the series and I originally used them when I did my NT 4.0 track and I have them also for W2K is their answers to why something is correct or why it is wrong in the eyes of Microsoft.

If you think you can use them just to cram for the exam and pass, you are likely to FAIL. They are better than I believe you realize if you use them properly! These books are design not to replace the Microsoft Official Course materials but to enhance what you should of learned from them and the classes! Maybe people should read the reviews on Amazon.com to fully understand why most people rated these books as four(4) or five(5) stars. We don't want any more "paper" MCSE's in the field.

Microsoft exams are much more challenging than the CompTIA A+ exams and they should be too.

Welcome to Information Technology world of certifications; it is a rough path but rewarding for those that stay the course!!
