strange problem
whenever I download a program (not everytime but most of the time) i get the error message
"bad disk or file transfer error" on zip or self-extracting zip files I get a similar message from most other progs I download (error message depends on the vendor)
think this may be a virus?

i narrowed it down to either M$'s database access something or other or a virus
I reformatted/reinstalled everything neccesary + a few other apps still had the problem so I reformatted again this time only reinstalling the necceary progs I needed now everything works fine I'd like to narrow it down a little more as my friend has the same problem on her pc (that's what makes me think it's a virus) I just can't think what prog it came from
all the downloads either had worked previously on the same machine or were major market software ie winzip, winrar, Iomega zip tools, etc.. so I know it wasn't the vendor
