Suggestions for lab to learn AD
Hey, All:
Have been working with Win2K in my organization for the past year; we're still NT 4.0 at our backend, but someday - someday - we may go full bore with Win2K and active directory. As I upgrade my cert
status (had it for 4.0m- guess I can still save HAVE it.)I've decided that I want to tackle AD and this exam first. I want to build up a decent background on AD, DNS and all the accompanying issues - take this bear of an exam and then move on to the others. Figure I can do this as my experience with server, pro and overall networking functions is solid.
Okay- here it is: I want to set a decent lab. Lots of sources recommend 4 nodes. I'd appreciate your feedback and recomendations.
Insights and detailed notes are greatly appreciated.
thanks much

Good site suggestion, Frank. I would also suggest that Zontar go ahead and knock out 210 & 215 exams even though he has his NT4 MCSE. These exams will help him get prepared for the questions that are presented in 217. At least they did for me.

I went with 2 computers then 3 and then 4; I needed the 4th for 70-216
Now my lab is 2 & 2. I also have my lab setup as 1 good computer and 1 ok computer.
EX.
1st workatation PIII 933 256
2nd workstation PII 233 128
1st server PIII 933 256
2nd server PII 200 128
I added as I studied; meaning you do not need all the hardware day one.
GOOD Luck on your MCSE Windows 2000
