Problems with new test!!!
Has anyone had problems with the new test interface working correctly?
I took the day off today and drove 2 hours to the nearest testing center that offers the 640-607 test. When I started the test, it errored out and quit working. Prometric blamed the problem on a faulty test driver. To make a long story short, I didn't get to take the test, so I have to go back Monday to try it again.
Just curious if anyone else had a similar experience.

Well I hope that you are not down. At least you still have the weekend to prepare a bit more.
Best of luck on monday.

I know what you're talking about. Took the exam on Wednesday. The first few questions went fine, then the Router Sim began to load. The screen went blank for well over a minute and then when the Sim loaded it wouldn't function. I even enlisted the help of the Prometrics folks - they called the Prometric Help Desk. The Help Desk agent told the local folks shut down the PC, restart, run Scandisk and retart my test. It started on the next question, scoring a big 0 for the router sim question. I ended up failing the test by 40+ points. I left the test center with a Prometric Help Desk ticket number and a "Failed" stamp on my score report - what an experience. . . I'm waiting on Prometric and Cisco to see what there going to do about reimbursing me for a second test. I'm going to give it another shot on Monday. My advice - ask the Test Center to reboot the PC your going to be testing on. This exam software is taking a lot of PC resources. Oh, for those of you wondering, I did get the second sim question to work and it does accept shortcuts like "config t" and "en". Know your subnetting and access-list before going in - there are lots of questions about both.

It happened again today!!!!! I can't describe how mad that makes me!!! I have driven over 400 miles and taken 2 days off of work to take this test. Both times I haven't been able to take it because of a problem with the test driver. We called Prometric tech support, and the best they could offer was that they have a known issue with the test and it will be a few days before it will be available. What a jerk around.... You would think that if so many people are having problems with the new test, maybe they would extend the old test a few more weeks....

i did not have this problem, and wondering if the problem is with the systems that you are testing on not meeting the minimum requirements to give the exam ie incompatible video, or lack of ram.

Prometric Testing
This is a known issue with Prometric. As it turns out, they never beta tested the new exam format and it failed from their servers! I would suggest you test at VUE. They beta tested and it works. Besides, they are better to work with anyway! Prometric sucks.
