Today's MCP email i received straight from microsoft
"CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FIRST 5,000 MCSAs
In less than seven weeks since the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
(MCSA) certification became available, we've welcomed 5,000 MCSA Charter Members
worldwide."

It just goes to show how easy it is when you really are determined to get mcsa. However it is still relatively new and would soon be as common as the mcse. Just my opinion.
Don't get me wrong though, it pays to know how the software works so as for you to be able to diagnose and resolve problems when they occur. This is more satisfying to employers than just having the paper without a clue of how the software works in a wider spectrum. The mcsa just like the mcse is more recognised when you have this extra valid criteria. Nuff said, and good luck to everyone that are determined to achieve their goals and aims in IT through hardwork and determination.
One last thing, remember to have this attitude, it is not over until I win. Life is a continued struggle, it only dies when one stops breathing. Best wishes to everyone in all your endeavours.

COngrats on your accomplishment. Doesn't matter which path got you there. You are still one of the first to be recognized by MS.
