Got a question for all of you
Hi Everyone,
As I am almost finished reading the microsoft press book on win2k pro.. I am just curious on how well I should know the chapter on "The windows 2000 Boot process"
It's basically like massive memorizing which I don't really beleive in.. I am more of a practical person.
How important is it to know the diffrent phases of bootup ind etail? like ore boot, boot, kernel load, kernel init and logon ?
Thanks
Donn

Look at it like...do I understand this conceptually.Could you explain it to someone who doesnt?
If you needed to troubleshoot the Bootprocess(which chances are pretty good you will come across this..if you get to work in a windows environment) could you?
Anyway Good luck to you.

I could explain the 5 main phases, and a rough description of what happens in each
I wouldnt be able to tell you something such as "What instruction sets are read and executed by session manager" as an example.
