Test Prep?
Hi guys, I'm back! I'm going to take the 218 in a few weeks and I was wondering if anyone has used the cert21 practice test. I've never used cert21 before. I normally use Transcender but as you know they don't have a 218 exam nor does anyone else. I'm using the 8wire and Cramsession guides plus I have all the "core" MOC material as well. But I still like practice software if at all possible even though I could probably do without. Anyways please let me know what you guys think about cert21 (70-218) Thanks,
Nitro

I ran a few of their free practice exams and they seem to be pretty good. Cross checked answers when I got one wrong, and they were right on target. So, I guess considering the choices, none , cert21 is the way to go for now. (At least I haven't found any others yet.)

I don't know about cert21 exams for MCSE/MCSA preparation. I did purchase cert21 exam for A+ Hardware and their exam quality was very good. The questions were not duplicated on the actual COMPTia exam. The cert21 exam really tested knowledge. Caused me to study an additional week prior to taking (and passing) exam.
I would like to hear from anyone recommendations of practice exams for 70-218. I plan to take it in early April. I am using Transcender Procert 5 and ServerCert for 70-210 and 70-215. When I downloaded update from Transcender yesterday their advertisement indicated that MangeCert 5 (Transcender for 70-218) would not ship until end-April.

I doubt you will even need it
It looks to me like you have passed the core already, so honestly I dont think you need to prepare as much as you are used to. This test is a mix of the core, with a little basic IIS and maintenance (service pack info) thrown in. Reread the relevant chapters in your old books, take a good look at the exam objectives off of Microsoft's website, and go take this one. Good luck man!

I agree with necrophantasm. If you've passed the 4 core exams for MCSE, you should do fine in 218.
I have the same material that you have. What I'm doing to prepare for the exam are:
1. Study the study guides that I have (8wire and Cremsession).
2. Refer to my MS Press Training Kit for the 4 core.
3. Re-do Transcender for the 4 core.
4. Search of relevant articles in MS Knowledge Base.
BTW, I passed my 4 core about 8 months ago. Yet I still feel confident. So there shouldn't be any problem for you if you've just done your 4 core recently.
I'm going to sit for the exam next week. Good luck to me and good luck to you!
