The fourth edition is only a cosmetic edition. There are no content changes, and all of the material remains the same - except the typos have been removed in the fourth edition.
So, if you already have the third edition keep it.
Actually - I have the third edition and I'm holding onto it. It was only in circulation for 11 months, and it might become a rare collectors item in the IT certification world some day.
The lab manual is a valuable asset to studying for A+ certification by the way. It has all kinds of excercises in it.

Stick with the third edition. If they ever reach a fifthe or sixth edition. that will probably be the one with the new changes if any

is there such thing as an adaptive practise test? it would be fun to have a go on one. maybe examdrill will give it a go when all the comptia exams go adaptive.
isn't there an all-in-one for the network+ test as well?

Their are a couple of adaptive practice exams out there.
Also - there are All-In-One books for every certification - well almost every.
