Passed the core hardware!!
Happy to say that I passed the core hardware part of the A+ exam today with a score of 896 on 20 questions. Now it's on to the OS part. Which part is considered harder?
I have to say that even though I passed I don't like the new format. How can anyone be considered certified after only 20 questions? It should be something like 100 questions covering a broad range of topics in my opinion. But either way I am half way there.

I thought the core test was the harder of the two. However, many people have said that they thought the OS test was harder. I think it depends on what you have the most experience with.

Congrats!!
Congratulations on your pass!!
As for the 20 questions - you need to learn a lot just to answer these. Would you have to learn any more to answer 100 questions?

what I studied
I used A+ for dummies as my main study guide. I also looked at almost any test question I could find online. I found a lot of good links here from other members as well which led to a good variety of questions. I studied for a hour or two each night for about 3-4 weeks and tried to have a good knowledge of many different areas.

thanks for the info a friend just burned A+ for dummies for me. you know it seems to me that this exam isnt very difficult. maybe im being a little cocky. the tell tale will be finding employment with only an A+ cert. under my belt
