A DNS record that is missing the IP address is:
A. An SOA Record
B. An A-Record
C. An SOL Record
D. A DNS Server

I think thats what you are reffering to when you say "dns server".
Am I wrong?
An A record resolves Fully Qualified domain names to IP addresses so it by nature would have to have an IP address listed in it.

Sorry forgot to respond back!
This was meant as a joke. With the answer being an SOL record. Get it? Without the IP address you are SOL, LOL!
But technically if you can have a "a-record" without an ip address, that would be the real answer. Yes I meant a DNS server record.
