Create User Account Setup Script?

What is the best way to write a script to handle multiple users being added? I want to write one that would handle the passwd, etc, group command lines all in one.

I take it that you are best consulting a command reference book for this one. Happy learning, and remember it's worth the effort as there is no shortcuts.
