Starting MCSE
Okay, I took and passed my Net+ Friday, here it is Sunday night and all I've done is sit on my butt and do things around the house! Time to get back to work! I want to start my MCSE now, I think. I understand there is an MCSA now too, not sure what that is, and I'll check into it later, but for now, I have pretty well figured out which ones I want to take. Of course the core 4, for the elective core I want 70-220 security, then for the two electives 70-224 Exchange server and 70-228 SQL server. I would sure appreciate any input. Is there an order I need to be taking these, is there a preferably order in which to take them, and does MS recognize any other certs as taking the place of anything of the needed tests for this?

MCSE
hey friend,
i too am just starting my mcse2k. I have the 70-210 scheduled for Jan 31. I saw your electives and might suggest you look at taking 70-218 as an elective. You will get your mcsa while still working towards your mcse with this one. Just a thought!

It doesnt matter what order you take them, I'd take the Core 4 first though, MCSA is just 4 tests instead of 7 so check that out.

Re: Starting MCSE
I recommend the following order:
1- 70210 (receive MCP status)
2- 70215
3- 70217 (more easy than 70216)
4- 70216
You need one more to finish the core line...
you can select now one of core elective from:
1- 70219
2- 70220
3- 70221
after that, you only need two elective exams
You can find the complete list and description here:

Best regards and good look
