Microsoft Server+ Certification Training Kit
Started studying from this book a few weeks ago. Today I reached my limit! The book is totally trash!
First, MS takes on its own side and snubs anything that is not MS. So the book is pathetic on Linux/Unix and Novell.
Not only does MS get things VERY wrong but their coverage is only about 60% of actaul exam content (no network cabling... not even a mention of an RJ45 connector).
This book is BAD BAD news!
I'll be writing on Friday.
So, no books for me on this exam. Only Cramsession notes and info provided by the dedicated people who use this forum.

I also thought it covered less then 60% of the exam I took (maybe 30-50% at most). The only useful thing I got relating to the exam from that book probrobly was the fact that there were no OS/2 questions.

Uh-oh,
But the Server+ exam is pretty hard,
can you reschedule the exam?
I wouldn't recommend going to that exam
with just Cramsession notes.
You need more then that,
the Cramsession notes are ok,
but not that good to stand on their own.

Hmmmm. You're probably right. I'm just hoping that my 20 years experience in IT will help me here.
Had to intall Linux and Novell on two home servers last night just to "make sure" I was'nt missing something.
I'll be back with my comments on Friday...

I had one OS/2 question on my Exam.
It was how to perform a shutdown using OS/2.
You will need to know how to perform a shutdown across, Unix, WinNT, Novell, and OS/2.
It might be the luck of the draw
of what questions you get from the test pool for your exam, But I did have that one OS/2 question.

Guess that kills all creditability of that book. The book as almost as bad as All-in-One book if not worse
