Missing applets on the Public Drive.
The Public Drive on two Win98 workstations and netware server are missing sever applets:
NAL, naldesk, NalExpld, Nalstart, Nalw31, Nalw95, nalwin32 or Wsreg32 and Wsreg32 to name a few.
I've reinstalled Netware 5.0 twice with the five-client license and logging in as admin.
The applets noted above aren't visible on the server or workstations.
What is preventing applets from being viewable to launch?
Thank you

Those are the Novell Application Launcher and the Workstation Registration programs. They are added to the SYS:\Public directory on the server when you install Zenworks for Desktops.

Appreciated reply for knowledge Enhancement !
After reinstalling NetWare 5.0, isn't Zenworks for Desktops installed by default on the Server?
Thanks

ZENWORKS Success
Rosetower, I installed ZENWORKS and it's operational.
Does ZENWORKS require a reinstalled on the Workstation every time NetWare 5.0 is reinstalled?
Is there a Beta of ZENWORKS for Windows XP?
Thanks for the knowledge Enhancing Experience!

NO. Zenworks is a separate Novell product. You can download the Zenworks Starter Pack for free at http://download.novell.com/download...et=sdExpLic.jsp
The Starter Pack permits application management and desktop policies for Windows workstations but it doesn't provide remote management or inventory management.
You have to purchase the full version to access those features.

You need to install the Netware Client version 4.71 or above on the workstations and make sure that Workstation Management is enabled on the client. Then you have to allow the workstations to register (that's what running wsreg32 on the workstation does).

I'm not aware of any. However I do know that there is a Zenworks Service Pack 3 that will enable management of Win2K workstations through Zenworks.
You should check out the Novell ZenWorks CoolSolutions Site
