PotatoHead is right. We as people are never too old to try something new. You're 38, young. But you must analyze first. If you are going to try something new, you do it knowing you want to. Not to join a group or a field that many people are into. If computers are for you, you'll enjoy. Appreciate other peoples information and insights.
I'm 26, I have a Bachelor's in TCOM, A+ & MCP. I've been with computers since the age of 14. And I can say I love this field. It'll never die. We in the computer field are like doctors, we enjoy what we do and await the latest developments.
Simply put; Computers are identical to medicine-- we wake up and something new is already out there for us to discover
