Foreign keys are primary keys that have traveled to distant tables and speak with funny accents.

Primary keys are those fields in the column that uniquely identifies the tuple (row) in a normalized table.

What makes a table normalized?
All other fields in the tuple depend upon:
1. The Key
2. The whole Key
3. And Nothing But the Key
So help you, Codd
