Switching Exam Passed !
Hey Router heads !
I passed Switching today !!!- ( whew ) it was a challenge !! Lots of tough Q's - a few straight forward ones that I quickly clicked and went on to the next. In depth STP, in depth Trunking and a couple Q's where you type in the command.
Again, Cisco Press [ Exam guide + BCMSN books ] were the foundation of my studies. At my work we have an Catalyst 5000 that I can play on( that really helped ). The test wants to know both CLI and IOS commands.
The only thing I can tell you of value, KNOW THE MATERIAL - and above all - you've got to believe !!!! I use a lot of creative visualization and affirmations. I 'see' the "Congratulations" message at the end of the test in my mind during my studies and before I take the exam. The human mind is very powerful. Don't underestimate yours !
Peace,
Justin2112
Cool . . . 3 down - 1 to go. Let's see that would make me 75/100 ccnp ? ( just joking ) I read the other post where some dudes where goin back -n- fourth about fractions - )

Top stuff Justin! Pretty much what I would expect in the exam, but they test you on IOS as well as CLI? The only IOS based switch I came across was a 6509 running 12.0E, a beta version.
I like the positive mental attitude (hereafter referred to PMA); visualising the "Congrats" screen.
BTW, what score did you get, and what's the pass level. 75% of CCNP done, or 3/4 done.

Hippo -
Thanks for the cheers ! I scored a 924/1000, 79 Q's / 90 min exam. The best I've ever done on any exam in my life. Yeah . . I thought it was unusual how many IOS switch q's I got.
The postive thinking stuff comes from a lot of the stuff I read . . . Nepolean Hill books.
I hope some of this stuff helps you all out
Thanks to everyone here for their help !!!
on to conquer CIT !!!!!!!!!!!!
Peace,
Justin
