1) Most Windows-based Internet connection service programs allow you to automatically connect to the Internet. They use a DNS number, but usually you don't have to know the IP address, only the number to dial into.
2) I would say news-servers because they tend to archive all old messages, but I am not sure on this one.

WHAT??? I usually don't say nothing about spelling because people make mistakes, but I dont think I've seen that many mistakes in one post since I've been here.

Potatohead - how's your French? Just check where people come from and give them a chance before jumping down their throats on spelling. Remember this is not her/his native language and you should try to answer the question not rip holes!!

I agree, English is not everyone's native language (including mine). Why not just do your best to help out instead of flaming people?

PotatoHead - how unlike you
But since you did flame the poor French, how about this
quote: I usually don't say nothing about spelling...
How about making us Americans proud and use proper grammar. That should be "I usually don't say anything about spelling..."

Oh come on!!!
The double-negative is not as American as apple pie ain't!
He simply said what would evidently be the truth for this thread, that he usually does say something about people's spelling.
(Sorry for having a little fun at your expense Spudmeister.)
Fair warning: Don't try to learn the English language from my posts!
