A good book for checking the commands, and options/descriptions of each, is Unix in a nutshell.

I don't know about the "Linux in a nutshell" dough...I've read that it is not really good, Unix in a nutshell works for me.

I've got "get linux certified and get ahead", that is more about the actual certification process, but it is a nice reference too!

I just got the Linux+ Certification Bible.
So far so good.

I used the same series when I studied
for my Server+ Cert. It did the job
so I thought I'd try these Bible series for the Linux+ Cert. These book are kind of neat because they lay out the test objectives one by one right in the text so you know what part of the exam your studying for.
