Steps to passing the exams on the first try are to 1)get a study guide (I prefer Cisco Press) 2) read it 3) read it again 4) read it a third time. After you're sick of reading the book. Start working the questions, and then go back and study the material you don't understand. When you think you have it get the Boson test and take the practice exam. Note the things you miss, and go back to the book. Try to figure it out. If you can't get it then, ask questions here. Take the practice exams and when you're scoring in the 90's schedule the real exam. You'll pass.
If you're looking for shortcuts. This is the ONLY real one. Lots of hard work, but well worth it.
BTW, if you do a search, I posted a long reply on study tricks last year that might also be helpful. (.i.e more detailed than this)
Tom

Most of the FAQs are already in this discussion group. Please go through at least some of them. You will get an idea what you need to do pass the test. Unfortunately, there is no brain dumps available for CISCO tests.

Just get some cisco press books and use a nice test prep software and you will be ok, relax and cram well.
