Smile Questions

What was your non related degree in? What sort of work are you doing now, and what do you want to do in IT? Give us a better background of yourself.

Thanks

Thumbs up Degree

If I were you I would leave it on - it shows future employers that you have other interests other than IT!!

Leave it on!

A degree is a degree. Most employers want college educated people, and many require some sort of degree.

Regardless of what your study was in, it shows you can start a four year project and complete it

An economic degree can be applied to many things in life. At least you'll know what a budget is and how to work within one

I agree with Nicole and the others - any degree worth having is worth listing - and any degree you spent four (or more) years obtaining is worth having, so list it!

Are you kidding? Employers love people with a "real" degree, and Econ is one of the best. Too many IT folks have techie tunnel vision, and employers hate that. This will be particularly helpful as you transition into management.

Your Resume

Agree with the other guys, leave it on your resume. I have put everything I have done professionally on my CV and it has helped me greatly, although I moved from publishing in distribution and am now moving into IT. But I am currently a supervisor, and even though it is not in IT, that will come in handy in the future.

I'm a recruiter and I say leave it on. I like to know when people have a degree no matter what it is. As someone mentioned, it could come into play later on and if it doesn't? So what.
