finally passed 176
Hi everybody,
After four months of hard studying I made it. I passed 176 from the first time. And now on my way for 175. I had no previouse experience or knowledge about programming so it was really hard studying and thank Allah I finally made it. I am ready to help anybody who needs my help. The exam was similar to Transcender but don't say Transcender is harder than the actual exam. No I see they are the same. Becareful with your time as it is so limited. I hope you all feel the hapiness that I have now and I wish all of us can see his or her dreams come true.
I want to thank my first friend and supporter on this board dear "CASSIE". I want to thank my soulmate and my dearest friend "Tamer El Refaie"
I also want to thank my friend "Jon Vuaghan". I want to thank whoever replied on my questions dear "Naeem" and dear "GiddyUpHorsey". And I keep my promise to you "Cocolocopolo" just ask me for whatever you like. I am really so happy I wish you all feel the same. As many says. Now it's one up and three down. Let's get those certifications buddies

Yosra,
Very very well done to you! I'm really happy for you, you've put a smile on my face even before the weekend!
I hope you'll keep in touch as you go for 175.
All the best,
Cassie
P.S. Have you "anchored" those great feelings of success you have right now so you can use them later?!!!

Hi
Many Thanks for you all Cassie, Wbafrank and Vbrown.
For you duke6 and Cocolocopolo,
With no previouse programming you have loads of materials that you have to cover. I started with Microsoft Training kit for 176 Book, its CD contains a file called "Studying VB now" something like that. This part is very good in explaining all about the basics of VB. then I used the book and the rest of the CD for 176 , but try to do all the Labs there. You may find some errors in it but you can figure them out. I feel those errors helped me a lot to search more to do all the lab completly. I followed it with "Sybex" book. Then "Riders" book. Then I studied the same materials for 175. After I finished them , I get the TroyTech, Cheetsheets, Transcender and "Riders Test Prep" book for VB including both 176 and 175. Also many of ebooks. I recommend to practise every piece of knowledge. Whenever you feel you don't get any point revise MSDN, it helped me lot. If you can't get it, send to this forum there are many of excellent and well experienced members.
For Transcender, try to get each exam more than once. Read why every question has this answer. I took each exam three times and I had bad marks at the begininning but after revising and checking the weak points from MSDN , I get the full marks in Transcender. I guess that's all. For more questions, I am here for help. Don't hesistate in writing to me . All my best wishes to you all.

70-176 on Wednesday...<gulp>
Hi all...
Nice to know that someone found 70-176 fairly easy to pass -- er -- that someone with little experience and lotsa study could pass.
I've got 2+ years with VB but I came to it via ASP...and vbscript...so I'm always figuring...'dang, now what was the syntax of that VB command' and not knowing if it's vbScript that I'm writing!
Oh well...found the examcram books the best, have taken only the free transcenders on same...and I write Wed am!
Do they still let you know immediately if you pass? Hope so...nothing'd please me more than coming right here after "passing" and saying so!
Thanks all...your words of encouragement have been stellar!
Jim
