Above $50k with no certs to speak of. I fell from OJT to OJT until I got to where I am. My current Title is Project Manager. I fell through these layers to land here.
US Army - Satellite Operator
Data cable installer / Estimator / custom cable maker (all in one job)
Network Engineer / Systems admin - Small WANs lots of banging on Cisco

Finally Project manager / Installer / Maintenance (cut backs I inherited a lot of hats)

I am hoping CCNP will get me above where I am now. What do you think?
Thanks,
Curtise

I am in the mid 60s in the Washington,DC metro area, but in my group I am the lowest paid and youngest.

Last year I officially transferred from from an auditor position to network security position within my company. However, prior to my transfer I had been offline for 2 - 3 years working on a software development project and doing other collateral network administration duties.

DC is still a hot market for IT.
