Question Mac computers and networking

I work at a place where I have to enter DNS names and domain names into network neighborhood in windows. from time to time, I run across a Mac. where do I go to enter this information in the Mac comp? I also need to know where to put the incoming and outgoing mail server

???

i'm working from memory, but you click on apple, control panel, TCP/IP

in 'name server', type in your DNS address and all your tcp/ip configuration

for your mail server, I think that will go into your email program config

Well,

Click on the apple Menu /Control panel/ TCP/IP..

Under configure === Click Manually
Under IP Address: Put your assigned assigned to your Mac
Subnet Mask.====== Put your subnet mask
Router Address==== You need to put your default gateway
Name Server Add:===This is were you put your DNS address

In addition, If you click on Edit/user Mode
and
Click on Advanced and ok…

On the right side you should see the following.

Implicit search path
Starting domain name: Put your domain name ..
example . abc.notabc.com or just notyahoo.com (If you do not have a sub domain)

Ending domain name: notabc.com

I hope this helps.
