Cybex KVM switch

Hi

I have a 4-port Cybex Autoview KVM switch. It is connected to two NW5.1 servers and two Win2000 servers. Win2000 servers have no problem.

But, when I switch to NW5.1, one of the server 'resets' when I ALT+Esc to change between the consoles.

There isno warning. Just the server resets. But the problem is intermittent. No pattern could be seen. Every time after that, I used to power down and power up the KVM switch.

Still, occasionally, it happens.

Anybody got the same problem?

We abandoned our Cybex AT (non PS/2) KVMs and went to cheapie Belkin Pros. Twice with some of them I had to send them in for firmware upgrades going from 4.11 to 5.0 and then 5.0 to 5.1! Luckily they handled it out of warranty.

I would call them. Maybe try another keyboard and mouse. Belkin said they have problems with cheapie Memorex and such parts.
I use a Dell QuietKey and Logitec simple 2 button. Maybe look for a BIOS flash for your server motherboard. Belkins are really particular on the AC Adapter. It will work without one but flaky. Cybex is $$$ stuff, I would hope they would talk to you. Hit them with an email.

Excellent !!!! Support.

I got a quick email reply from them. It says :

please review our Customer Support web page for future requests. Our
Knowledge Base may offer a quick resolution to your installation and
configuration questions. If not, you can use the on-line call entry form to
generate you own call ticket. The on-line call entry system will send you a
ticket number and the call will be assigned to a support representative for
quick response.

I visited that site. There was a
tiny knowledge base.
