Internet connection question. Has anyone heard of this also?
When a friend of mine was connected to the internet(on his old PC), if anyone were to dial his phone number, after about 4 rings, his modem would disconnect and his phone would ring. (He has one phone line) He bought a new PC and it doesn't happen anymore. How does this work? I'd like this option since I have only one phone line and hate missing important calls. I've never heard anyone talk about this before. If you know what causes this, let me know! Thanks!

Yes, I have!!
There is a program out there that can do this!! I got an E-mail from a company in US which said I could download for free the software. It would flash on the screen if you had an incoming call. It also gave you a option to have a fax number aswell. As I reside in the UK I could not sign up as I did not have a US phone number, so I deleted the E-mail with the site on it, sorry.
Sorry I could not be of anymore help but as the E-mail was from US I would try phone companies to see if they offer the service!!
Just an idea!!
