Multicasting question

Alright

Here is the senario. I have a switch connected to a router running ip pim multicast sparse more. The switch know the router is running ip pim sparse mode. From my understanding enablbling multicast on the router is supost to stop execc traffic but from whats happening everything on the netowrk is slowing down. I have a 36XX router and a 35** switch. Any thoughts

Anyone ever set up multicast. The program that I'm using that is multicasting is ghost if that makes a difference
