Question Is there an XP Server edition ??

My boss has told me today that a new XP server was out or coming out... can someone confirm this for me ? I didnt think there was going to be a server edition of XP

I taught there was only going to be Professional & Home Edition..... If there is a server edition, is it based on Windows 2000's Active Directory ????????? I swear, if its not based on AD, I'll go mental !! LoL

Post XP Server!!!

This is a new one on me! I think what he is talking about is .NET Server (Beta version 3). This is all I could find on the MS site.

I would clarify this with him.

Check MS site, but I couldn't find anything under their search engine!!

For XP, there'll only be Professional and Home Edition. The server version is .NET Server which is expected to be launced in the 1st quarter of 2002.

I'm sure it'll be based on what Windows 2000 Server is like. So don't worry about the AD implementation part.

Cool

Windows .NET Server - next server operating system. Is has own Directory Service that a little differ from AD. They can live together, but AD`s schema needs to be upgraded.
