Advice on first exam please
Has anyone got any advice on taking the first DBA exam (pl/sql)? I'm taking it an about 2 weeks and I've been reading from the sybex DBA kit and using alot of computer training material that I have. I'm just a bit nervous as this will be the first exam and I'm not sure what to expect.
Has anyone got any good links or cheat sheets that they would like to point me towards or trade with. I have lots of study material and STS software that might be usefull. Or just some advice on what to expect would be great really.
Thanks

Hi Ian,
I know how you feel ... I was nervous too (passed in August).
If you are well prepared as you said and have some hands on experience with sql and pl/sql then you should pass easily.
It's mostly code checking, only few theory questions (e.g. about constraints). They want to know whether you understand sql and know the syntax. Prepare for questions where they offer four "create view" statements and you have to determine which one is right (e.g. no "order by" allowed). One or two answers are always quite weired and easy to recognize as wrong.
For PL/SQL prepare cursors, cursors, cursors ... - variable scopes and exception handling --> more code checking!!
Read the questions carefully! They are sometimes tricky!
If you have some last minute questions, I try to help you - laloca@warum.net
Good luck for the exam!
