OS damaged

Hello,

My Windows 2000 could not boot up. It has NTFS file system. I tried using Windows 2000 CD to repair it, but failed. NT5.CAT is missing. I need to back up my files, how can I do this? is there any way to get into DOS? Please help.

Arrow Try This.

Hey Buddy !

Make a copy of makebt32.exe on floppy disk from Windows 2000 Professional CD.

then boot from this floppy, it will take you on DOS Prompt. Take Backup of your files and then Restart your computer with Windows 2000 Professional CD Rom.

Hope it will work.
