its not an easy exam.
for sure this is easier than 215,216,217 but still it covers alot of subjects expcially the beta.
i had 90 q and it took me almost 3 hours to sove it all.
many questions were select 2 options 1 or 2 questions were select 3 options and one drag and drop.

I have mcse,mcdba and i teach this metirial and other titles and i work 5+ years in the field and still i cant say it was an easy exam.

the drag and drop was picture with server connected to router conected to regular computer
they tell you the network is using 2 subnets and u have to put the right ip,gateway and subnet for the computer.

there were 2 questions with 2 different pics and it was very hard to do them since they opend on full screen and you cant tile or change the size.

around 5 questions about terminal services one of the question was:

you ahve a user connecting with terminal services to windows 2000 server with terminal services the user have printer connected to his own computer when he connects to the terminal server he cant find the printer what should you do.

other question was something like:
you have user using terminal services when he try to run a program he get error. you try help him by phone but he dont enkow enough, what you should do.

iis questions:

one question show you picture of the of network and tells you when users try to connect to ServerA (new server with IIS) they get the following error:
401.2

Logon failed due to server configuration

what can u do to fix it?

other question was:
you have website http://xxx you want http://zzz will also go for it what can you do.

how do you deploy many hotfixes ?

you get 300 new computers you want to install windows 2000 on them and service packs from cd how can you do it with the least affort?

your company policy is minimum 8 chars at password but the development needs 4 chars because of special project how can you do define inin AD ?

you link new gpo that say minimum 5 chars for password right after that you check and you find that u still can use 1 char passwords, what do you do to fix it ?

u setup ServerA as dhcp server in your active directory network however there is a problem and it is still not assigning ips. how can you fix it ?

you have domain named zz.yyy.com you want to make xx.zz.yyy.com, how you do it ?

you have users need to connect using dialup, you want it to be most secure wich protocol will you use ?

you have 3 computers you want save costs of dialup connection to the internet choose 3 so you will have internet connection to all computers when needed.

u have user named dany who need access to one file other group have full acess to the folder u want to give him only option to read the file is on share choose the correct ntfs and share premissions.

youre isp tells you they going down for maintaince till the next day.
the next day users calling you and saying they cant connect to internet sites. u calling the isp and he tells you the dns is changed. you have your own dns , what will you tell your dns ?

you want to give your partners ability to connect using ftp and c the orders status , u want them to connect using personal login and pwd, what u will define in the iis.

please note that ms still continuing and putting girls everytime there is a problem
at least there is one thing to like about them.

there were also some questions about printers.
you have unix printer and you want to publish it in the AD, how?

you have folder belongs to XX OU the manager wants you to publish it so everyone will see it and search it.

thats the idea.

how to preapere your self ?
read the objectives on MS page its good start point read the mocs, if you have the moc of 70-240 (1560AC I think) and you read it you will pass.

not really.
it will be a bit semiliar but there will be alot of diffrences.
this exam looking on the how do you do things.
at least supposed to

from what i hear people who went to MS meeting to set the passing score saying it will be 500-600 passing score.
