Question Pass or fail mechanism of 70-240

Picking up on the ramblings of an earlier thread, there are some mixed views on how 70-240 passes or fails people.

Either the exam will fail you if you don't achieve the pass mark on 1 or more of the 4 sections, or it will accumulate the scores of the 4 sections against a single total pass mark.

Personally I think it has to be the latter as I can't see why MS would choose to allow the test to continue past a failed section. What would be the point? Furthermore, killing the test of early would reduce the risk of brain dumping.

Opinions?

There is a minimum pass on each section but you have to pass all sections to ensure that the Overall score is a pass..

I work on a site which includes a Prometrics testing centre and I have been told the previous 2 testers both failed the first section and were kicked out after 45 minutes or so.
Quite possible there is also an overall mark as well as per section but as I got the good news today it is all academic to me.

You must achieve score 70% in EACH section, otherwise you`ll be kicked out. If each section you`ll be scored min 70%, the total score will be over 70% too and you`ll pass it.

I took the entire test only to find out i failed.
But since I took each section individually I think they were scored individually.
who knows where I went wrong.
I am doing server next friday morning and I will be win2k certified

Yes passed all so far but server
Did 210, 216, 217, 221
216 the Implementing and Administering a Microsoft Windows 2000 Network Infrastructure
Test was the most difficault.
I found it more difficult than even 221.
It rates on an equal footing with some of the CCNP exams.

Thanks Chodan.

I passed the 70-240 and I accept 70-216 (network Infra) was the most difficult one.
