Most certs in a week?
Just curios, but what is the most certs that you have earned in a week? I managed to get 5 this last week; MCP, Server+, i-Net+, CIW-A, CST.

Congratulations on earning 5 certs in a week, but i dont see how you can learn anything studying for 5 certs unless you already knew the stuff

True, I have been in the industry for about 8 years. So I have the experience but even so it takes some studying to know what these tests are looking for.

I agree with Spud, I don't see how you could really learn all that in a week. I have a ? if you have been in the industry for 8yrs why did you just now decide to get all of these certs?, especially when half of these are entry level

Good question, I was laid off several months ago and even though I have the hands on experience a lot of employers that I have spoken to want the certs for verification(my previous employer was not big on certs).
Yes a lot of the certs that I have are entry level. But I have not been in college/training for several years it was a good way for me to get in a studying frame of mind. Besides as someone in another thread said these certs were "fun".
Now having said that the certs that I am now targeting are MCSE, RHCE, CCNP and these are definitely not entry level certs.

also
If one wants to be taken seriously, they will add a BS degree in Computer Science to their collection of certs.
The rest will look good on the wall, and of course for ones ego.
