Automatic & Manaual summarisation
Have I grasped this concept correctly?
Automatic summarization- BGP, EIGRP, IGRP & RIP (natural class boundary only)
Manual summarization- RIPv2, EIGRP & OSPF
ie only the classless routing protocols support summarization.
Any feedback would be nice in clearing it up..
TIA,
Wavy

hi,
if i am correct BGP4 does not have automatic summarization you have to use the AGGREGATE ADDRESS command to summarize.
RIP V1,V2, IGRP,EIGRP have automatic summarization.
