We came, we saw...............
We kicked their butts!!! I passed with an 800. I cannot BELIEVE it. OK for those about to take it or wanting to know my materials used:
1. MS Training Kit pro & server. Lots of notes taken for pro and read through the server as a complimentary resource.
2. Every free on line test I could find.
3. Some braindumps, but don't rely on these! Know your subjects (why and what happens in a given scenerio)
4. Definately a copy of the OS. Get used to using it everyday and practice the books examples.
5.THIS FORUM for first hand briefs on what's what.
Some things I was asked
Port numbers for FTP and HTTP.
Know what the NET USE command does. Brush up on your command line syntax.
EFS & NTFS permissions.
Remote installs ( RIS & sysprep etc..) will almost certainly be there.
For anyone in doubt (like I was), relax, deep breaths, mark what you are not sure of, READ THE QUESTION thoroughly at least twice, if still not sure, discount the answers you know are wrong and this narrows down the choice.
I hope some of this helps - I am off to get drunk!
But I will certainly be coming back here.
cheers guys
Jay

Identicle exam?
Well done on the pass!
From what you've said Heuristic, we've had the same questions in the 70-210 exam. Basically I had to choose which ports were used on FTP (Port 21) and HTTP (Port 80). I can't remember the wording, but I reckon we had the same question. I also had questions on the correct syntax of the net use command.
I've not yet spoken to anyone that has had an adaptive exam, and I'm starting to wonder if they exist?

Well l9nux,
you may be right. I was happy when you posted your experiences and when I saw those similar question on my exam my confidence lifted alot. What r u going for next server??
I was leaning toward 70-58 Network Essentials as I do a lot of work with cat5 and messing with network enviroments.... but i am in two minds?? I might toss a coin!!
Any thoughts from anyone else?

Networking Essentials
Does anyone know which exams are adaptive and which ones aren't? Also, 70-058 (Networking Essentials) doesn't qualify for an MCP, as I think it's self study only.
Have you thought about Cisco certifications for your networking skills?
