Thumbs up Change Icon

In answer to your question once you have the explorer icon on your desktop, right click, Properties, Web Document, Change Icon you can choose icon from those shown or browse your system for the icon you require.

I hope this helps!!

Hey, wbafrank now that is just not what I ment.
When you browse this forum and click file send shortcut to desktop you get the usual icon but when you go to for example amazon you'll get a nice custommade icon and that's what I want.

Still interested in the suggestions..

Lightbulb flavicon?

I think you are talking about a flavicon that appears in the IE browser bar as you visit certain sites. I didn't see one for Amazon, but when you visit some sites, and you look at where you visited in the dropdown Address bar, the little icon (flavicon appears next the URL)

This is what you mean, right, such as the red Y for Yahoo?

The file extension for the flavicon is .ico.

If so, you can download a flavicon making program and then upload it to your website, just note this works in IE only, NOT Netscape.

Thanks your hot!

Sotet, you are near to the thing I need.
Let's suggest you go to xxx.com and choose upper left File-Send-Shortcut to desktop, then a shortcut on your desktop appears whith the usual explorer-icon is there but when you goto cnn.com than you get a custom made icon, one of their own.
And that is just what I want.
But I'll check your idea, that sounds cool to.

Keep giving your input!!

and thanks.
