MSCONFIG

go to command line type "msconfig" and select the last option (i think it's selective startup/normal) and the last tab to the right is going to have all the programs that start automatically with your PC. uncheck the ones you'd like to get rid of.

Thumbs up Win 98 Question

Check to see if it is on your Start up menu, if it is go to Start > Taskbar & Start Menu and clear it. This problem will then go away.

start/run "msconfig" then click on advanced and remove the checkmark on that particular Program, that is bothering you.
Time to clean up a bunch of other "stuff" that you'll never need.
hope this helps .

don't forget to restart.
