Sair GNU Linux VS Red Hat
What is the difference between Sair GNU Linux vs. Red Hat Linux?
Which is more in demand? (especially working with an oracle database)?

RHCE is much harder . . . it requires several labs in addition to written tests, and it is for experienced Red Hat administrators. SAIR is harder than LPI and Linux+ but is still a pretty wicked set of tests. Any Linux can run Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL, but I do not think you will be directly tested on them on any Linux exam.

Afaik sibley's right on about the difficulty of the various Linux certs (not sure about LPI vs. Sair though). As far as what variant's the way to go for DB work goes, every Linux variant out there supports all the major databasing apps. Unix is much more popular then Linux is for DB work so you may want to look into that. HP-UX, AIX, Solaris and BSD are the major variants.

Difficult to say, in long term RHCE will be more valuable..
However, SAIR is OK to know!

ya rhce is the one with the "CCIE" status thing to it, its not a beginner cert, Sair is more of a stepping stone, well it does offer multiple levels, with the 3rd/master level almost completed .. as far as demand, i have no idea really ..
