Migrating Users from Server A to Server B ?
Hello Gurus,
We have a Windows 2000 Server environment.
We have a server A running Windows 2000 which has about 200 users that we want to replicate over to Server B running Windows 2000.
In the MS Resource Kit there is a utility called ADDUSERS that we used to dump the user information to a text file.
We are not getting password information in that exported text file.
When we import that text file to Server B the users are created but we are not able to get the passwords over from Server A to Server B
E.g
On source Server A
ADDUSERS /d:u c:\usersexport /p:lce
On Target Server B
ADDUSERS /c c:\usersexport /p:lce
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

You can't
After taking 70-222 Migrating NT4 to W2K I can say this: you can't migrate passwords.
Even ADMT tool will eventually generate new passwords for the migrated users and you should inform those users about their new passwords.
Maybe with some 3rd party tools?!
