SLIP Config & VLAN 1

Hey guys and gals,

Questions concerning Switches

1. When we configure SLIP on the console port, is it possible to telnet into the switch using the remote host before SLIP has been enabled on the console port?

2. When Cisco says that we should specify the management VLAN from VLAN1 to a different VLAN, do they mean specifying the in-band management interface (sc0) to another interface, or is it something else?
