Help!

I need some motivation! I have been attending a tech school taking networking classes. I chose to do this for a few reasons.
1. I didnt have any IT experience and I wanted to get some knowledge in that area.
2. I figured the only way I was going to learn initially was in a classroom environment.

I have 5 MS certs, N+, and A+. I work help desk for Sony Electronics as an end user support tech specialist for pcs and other pc related products. I hate help desk but it is my first "IT" job and I know I need it as a starting point. My problem is that I dont know where to go from here and I am really getting down about the whole IT thing. I have BS degree from Penn State in Mechanical Engineering Technology but it wasnt what I had a passion for. I've been out of school for about 5 years and in those 5 years I was helping out with my family business (non IT related). I love computers and technology but man I'm in a rut. Where should I go next, what should I look for, and what the hell is wrong with me .

Cool Keep Hope Alive!

Hey,

Hang in there helpdesk is hard thing to do. Consider it a stepping stone for your bigger jobs.

You seem to be on the right track for making good money in the IT industry. Keep pushing ahead and dont let today at helpdesk depress you because tomorrow it will be better. I would check out jobs in your area and see what is out there, some jobs offer training in the field and you cant beat that (in my opinion). Reason I say that is because I am not getting trained and I know people who are making less but getting training ,they will eventually pass me by!

Keep focus! It is hard to get a Admin or Engineer job the FIRST time, but after the first one it is down hill from there.

Dont quit!

Try these sites for IT jobs

www.dice.com
www.headhunter.net
www.computerjobs.com
www.monster.com

Submit your resume to some of the jobs you find and see what you can snag.

I hope this helps!!!!!!!!
