hello,
well done old boy!
I'm down for BCRAN next Wednesday, 21st, so obviously I'm getting a bit edgy now. How was the exam, hard, easy? Did Boson help much with this one?
The one thing that worries me is the number of questions on micrsoft sytems. I can handle Win 95 but I've never seen 98 or 2000, my job is network kit and wires only (I prove data coming out of the socket and then pass any fault over to the PC support guys!).
Bosun throw in quite a few questions on these newer MS OS's, did you find any in your exam?
regards
Peter

boson helps alot on bcran
Fellow bcran testers.
I failed BCRAN my first go around in the beginning of September. I studied for two more weeks this time with boson and some supplementary materials (my core materials were just Cisco press and the cd that came with the exam certification guide). I went from a score of 694 to 852. I believe it was mostly Boson. I knew the material but I was just confused on some points and the Boson number 1 was the only one I used. Just worry about the windows questions you get with that boson, it is similar to the test.

I remember it being light on Windows related questions..maybe 1 or 2..I had a few questions that were basically redundant, good for a freebie if you knew the answer(s)..bad if you didnt...frame relay, isdn, x25, easy Pick from this list of commands questions.

Hi,
well this comes back to the point I made origially...Win 95 is no problem for me, I've been using it for years and been on PC Support (a few years ago) with Win 95 clients.
It's the Win 98 and 2000 that has me concerned as I know nothing at all about either OS. And it could be that I have a 'blow-out', maybe I'm one question short of a pass and the one question that comes up asks where to find something or other on a Win 2000 client.
I'd hate to fail a Cisco exam because I didn't know about Microsofts cack-handed way of doing things!
Regards
Peter
