How long did you study/prep?
Curious, how long did you take to prepare for the CCNA? How much experience did you have prior?

All my experience had been on LANs and I took about 3 months to prepare.

I also took about 3 months and used the wonderful Cisco Press book by Wendell Odom. His test questions that come on a cd with the book were great (and way harder than the real test). I also used the Todd Lammle Sybex book and the Sybex simulator. For the CCNP however, I've dropped Sybex and am just going with Cisco Press books.

I am a slow learner.
After I passed Network+ in end May, I began studying CCNA course.
I am going to take CCNA test mid December. It means I already spend 6 months for CCNA.
I really admire that most of the fellow only spend two or three months generally. (Some smart guy only takes 2 weeks to pass CCNA test).

I spent about 6 weeks preparing. I used the Sybex book by Todd Lammle and the simulator. I already had some experience with routers. Your prep time will really depend on how much time you commit to it on a daily basis. I spent 6 hard core weeks studying, where as it could have taken me 3 or 4 months if I was doing it casually. If you only used the Sybex book and the simulator you will be more than prepared. Just really know the material. The test is not that difficult.
good luck
