Has anyone trained with global knowledge?
Hello everyone.
The company I work for in a moment of clarity bought a prepaid learning advantage account from Global Knowledge and I have been looking through the courses.
Has Anyone here been through their CID course and is it good?
IT is a around $2200 or $2700 I can`t remember but the course I am looking at is in Chicago which is a few hours flight from here it is a 5 day course.
I`ve always been a self study kind of guy but would like to try training, the only training I`ve ever had is jumping in and doing it hehe.
Any info on Global Knowledge would be cool.
Thanks

I haven't but you should check----
There are some companies out there that will take you for a ride. Even a big one out here for ICND (had to take it, company requirement at the time, idiots) and the guy was only a CCNA with some experience with Novell. At $2500.00 per person, the class was pretty much a wash. Just glad that I didn't have to pay for it.
So what to look for. Since this is in the CCDA/DP arena, classes will probably be written so equipment isn't going to be much of a char but if they do have it, ask them what they are using and why.
Definetly find out if they have Cisco Qualified Instructors, not Cisco Certified people teaching a class (unless they are a CCIE, that would be a good thing, would be much more then 5K though). Find out how they insure their instructors are capable of identifing required topics for the exam and how the circilum was generated.
In the end, just check it out before you dump some bucks on this.

Thanks Depamo
I won`t be out anything as my company is paying for it but as long I am going to spend a week somewhere I`d like it to be as good as possible.

Hi,
I'm actually studying for CCNA not CCDA, and in contrast to what your asking I have only selfstudy experiance. However if the test prep I got from Global Knowledge is anything to go by - you should be onto a winner - professional and indepth.
