webdesigning
Hello everybody,
I am new here. So I need everyhelp that you can offer.
I don't know if this is the proper place to ask my question. Also, I don't know if it is already late to ask my question as I already started my career in MCSD. Anyway, I really need advices. So please spend little time in reading this and gracefully replay.
I am so interested in webdesigning. But I want to take it professionally. Before I started learning for my certification, I already uses the following:
HTML, XML, XSL, XHTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, VBSCRIPT, DHTML, ASP and good introduction in Visual Basic.
Also I am Good at some graphics programs like: Adobe Photoshop, Paintshop, Flash &Photodraw.
Also I am good in using all Office Programs.
So I want to improve my self. I thought of MCP+SiteBuilding, but as you know it's useless now.
So i start with MCSD
70-176 and I plan to continue with 70-175 then 70-152 and finally, 70-100
AM I TAKING THE RIGHT STEPS OR WHAT??
Thanks for reading my question. Looking for your replays. Have a nice day

Hi Yosra,
First of all, your skill set sounds VERY valuable. Gaining your MCSD will round your skills off even if you do not end up programming with VB all the time. The 70-100 exam, for instance, places a lot of emphasis on database design and project life cycle knowledge, which I believe would be important to virtually everyone carving a career in the IT world.
My suggestion to you is to have a real hard think about what job you would enjoy the most. Scout the job ads and see what kind of things attract you then aim yourself at those types of positions.
Have you ever visited monster.com? They have good forums where you can ask career questions, it might be worth posting your question on there as well, there is even a forum especially for IT careers.
BTW, what is your current job role?
Cassie

Hi Cassie,
Thanks for your concern. I'll visit the monster.com. For my work, I was responsible for IT jobs in a medical company. And from there, I started. I did lots of things, I don't even remember them. But everything they wanted, I searched, and learnt how to do it, and do it.They wanted a website, I did its design .I made a database to save records and get reports. Also i made representations for product CDs.
I made two types of Cds , one for clients. Where you can find music, animation, marquees, colors and so on ... Also it was protected from printing. The other kind, is for sales representatives. Where all catalogues are available in printing size with good resolution.
I did everything related to computer. May be that's the reason why i know many things but they seem irrelevant.
Then i decided to take it professionally. So I started to learn all this stuff. But as you said , I really don't know what kind of Job will be good for me after passing the certification. Frankly speaking, I don't have any idea about what the market of IT employment really needs and What the specialization that i can take is. So would you please give me help on it?
Thanks again.
