Cisco Training
Howdy folks --
I was just perusing through my local community college fall schedule and noticed what looks like it could be a great program. Too bad I'm not going after a Cisco cert This is for Sac City College, but other community colleges in California likely offer the same program.
It's 4 classes, half a semester each, 4 hours a week lecture and lab total. So two semesters and you're done with "Cisco Networking Academy."
At $11 per unit and access to their Cisco lab, it sounds like a very sweet deal. Those in CA interested, may want to pick up a catalog from their local community college and see if they have something similar locally.
Hey, with all the transfer units I have stacked up, I maybe could have my AS in CS in 28 units... hmmmm. But then I'd have to sit through classes like "Beginning Word Processing." SNORE! Maybe I'll talk to a counselor about passing out of these classes by taking the final exam...

That's what I loved most about Sacramento. I used to live there for 5 yrs, left there in 95 and moved to Atlanta. Now, I'm thinking about moving back there so I can finish my degree because tuition fees here are really expensive $54/credit. But then again with a low cost of living and nice morgage it still hasn't convinced me enough to move back there.
So, please ...please don't talk too much about schooling in Sacramento, because it's hurting me so bad.

p.s: My uncle is the 1st person told me about that program about 2 years ago. He also took the class, but I'm not sure if he has taken the CCNA test or not.
