I need to know...
hey everyone!
PLEASE let me know if any of you have used the ExamPrep and ExamCram books for the CCNA exams... are they at all helpful? or just a waste of my time? Should i seek other books?
And if any of you have any braindumps, please let me know... anything will be appreciated.
I am trying hard to study and cover everything... but somehow don't feel as if these books are going to help!
Thanks a lot for helping!!

As I said in previous posts, brain dumps (if you can find any of them) wont do you much good.
Exam Prep, Exam Cram are both tools to test your knowledge and understanding.
I recently sat the test, right after Silky, and we seem to agree:
Know the material. Dont try to memorize answers from practice exams, but understand how they came to satisfy those answers. Knowing, though, that they are human and can make mistakes.
As far as the test:
They will ask questions to test your understanding. Therefore, they will give you two answers and one will be more correct then the other, so you need to know what they are talking about.
So, use practice exams (Exam Prep/Exam Cram) to test your knowledge, brush up on your weak areas, and pass your test.
I personally used Que Books CCNA Prep Kit and Todd Lammle's Study Guide, along with all the practice exams I could find to exercise my weak areas and for memory boosters.
It's passable, dont shortchange yourself.

perfectly said!
Just like lennon said,if you want to pass the test KNOW the concepts.
Nervous, I had to read some books twice, and others 3-times in order to process the sometimes comlex data.
It's funny because sometimes my CSMA/CD didn't work all the time and I had many collisions that jammed the flow, if ya know what I mean. Sometimes felt like half duplex had been initiated rather than full duplex and broadcast storms occured frequently. But, I managed to use a little store and forward rather than cut through and it all worked out.
I hope that helped,,,lol,,,hee hee
