Share-Level
Hey Folks,
Was checking out this site since I’m taking my 70-210 on Tuesday. A little nervous. I’ve heard score numbers, is that 640 out of 800 (80%) or out of 1000?
At any rate, I just upgrade a machine on a peer-to-peer network to Windows 2000. But how the other machines (Win 9X, ME) access the shares off that computer. Must I have a server running a domain?
Thanks in advance,
--Burton

You can still share folders in a peer to peer network.
Make sure you have installed file and print sharring for MS. If your file is on a NTFS partition, check the NTFS permissions (the default is everyone/full controll). Make sure you have shared the folder, and check your shared folder permissions.

Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP in Windows 2000.

It was the permissions I screwed up on. I didn't realize that on a share level even other microsoft run machines would register as "Guest". Once that was enabled I could see things just fine. Before I was trying to use "Interactive" to allow access.
Thanks guys!
