Security book...

I've had "Hacking Exposed 2e" at home for a while and have been meaning to read it.. Is it a good book on security?

I will soon, I was actually finishing reading
Maximum Security, the first edition, which was kind of outdated in alot of aspects, but still a fun read. I'll probably start on HE2e next week.

By the way, how does one get into the computer security field anyways?

I never read the entire book, but the parts of the first edition that I have read were good. The main thing it does is scare you into taking security seriously.

You might get some usefull info out of this post. I would think you'd need significant networking experience before most companies would hire you for security-specific work.
