Question Need help on ME login!

Problem on Win ME again!

My friend have a PC with ME. The window login screen is getting anoy. He asked me how to canel! Just remove the password list and don't type any password. But after few try. the screen still pop up as the beginning login...

Anyone know how to remove that screen!

Go to Start Menu - Settings - Control Pannel and then double click on to Users. Remove any current users listed there.

Is this similar to logon screen on win98se popping up? You can remove that by going to properties of network neighbourhood, choose windows logon instead of client for m$ network. Reboot and it shouldn't come up.

I wish is that simple, but not! I did that before but still the same logon screen..

Properly have to re-install to solue this problem like Win95!

Try deleting all the *.pwd files found on the machine, and restarting, when asked for a new password on the first restart, just press enter.

WARNING...Deleting the PWD file deletes all passwords held by windows, including dialup, etc
